As I walk around Berkeley I see so many lost souls, not a smile on anyone’s face, there’s shouting and abusive language coming from the units I walk past.
A son shouting at his mother. No honour or respect.
I talk with people as I walk, sharing with them the reason I am here.
It’s not the view.
And it’s not the pay.
There is only one reason, only one mission that will bring life and that is to tell people the answer lies in Jesus.
I long for people in Berkeley to know they have a Saviour.
I am only going to spend eternity with God because Jesus died for my sin.
“Churches that become passionate about people outside their walls will be
far more effective than churches that are
passionate about keeping the few people they have inside their walls.”
Here in Berkeley we live in the community, to make bridges to help people cross over to Jesus.
Last Sunday, NINE people decided to follow Jesus and give him their lives.
The angels in heaven had a huge party! This is what BLC is all about.
Here, we value people before programmes and property.
“While others are congratulating themselves, I have to sit humbly at the foot of the cross and marvel that I’m saved at all.”
Jesus filling the expanse of heaven with souls from Berkeley…let those angels sing!
